Coffee Beans Chocolate Cinnamon Cupcake

How do you brighten up a grey weekend?  I would call it grey, when there is no way to go out to chill or  finding a comfort zone in the bizarre window shopping or sometimes just enjoying the not-so-likely cacophonic city life. I would call it grey when you have a very little option left to cook something sumptuous having only a few ingredients staring at you to know their fate. I would call it grey when the Man is out on an Office tour and the kids are literally turning most of your hairs grey. So what will you do? I truly believe good food always starts from a domestic kitchen. Whatever lesser ingredients you have that could make rich your kitchen pantry and by no time you could end up with nothing but surely something tasty. Yes, I consider owning that magic wand that sometimes magically plates delectable dishes out of the blue.   I made one such grey weekend glorious baking some Coffee beans Chocolate Cinnamon Cupcake cupcakes followed by a photo shoot. The story continues how coffee beans became the part and parcel of my life….

There was a time when I literally haunted for coffee beans. Very similarly like Mr. Humpty Alexander Dumpty, I stormed into each  coffee joints of Kolkata and literally begged to let me buy a handful of coffee beans. Coffee beans the way they look rich, I thought they were actually not easy to be found too. Swear on God, I almost searched every nook and corner of the Hyper city markets, Posh Grocery counters just to own some coffee beans. Buying online must have been an easy solution for me when you are cherishing your lifestyle in this ultra modern world. But count me one of those sceptical and conservative outdated ladies who restrain themselves buying food items online.  Mr. Pie  tagged me a crazy woman in this case, when I failed to give a proper explanation why I was so desperate to buy Coffee Beans. Every time I would land up mumbling with different excuses – “I want them for chocolate making… or using them in my cakes and desserts…” But I had never disclosed the actual secret. The more I used to see the Coffee beans photographic shoots on the net, I used to become more desperate to capture those tiny little luscious objects. I was almost dying for the tryst with Coffee Beans. One day a guy in disguise of an angel handed over me a fistful of Coffee Beans. My joy knew no bound and I was feeling like giving him a tight hug to bestow my gratitude on his humble gesture. My contagious joy infected Miss. Picky Pie too. Both of us rushed back home in glee, holding the Coffee beans like we were holding a newborn baby. We gave the Coffee beans a precious place to rest. And then I forgot about it. Am I joking!!! My love for the Coffee beans is so naive!! Not at all. Then my journey started to get some more Coffee beans. I became more greedy and one day from a tiny little shop in Hogg Market, Kolkata – What I found??? A 500gram pack of Coffee Beans. I didn’t think for a second or encourage a second thought. I bought the whole pack. Soon my house became aromatic with the smell of Coffee beans that made all  of us giddy. So immediately to keep the peace in the family I had to underground my love in a safe place where the nosey little thing couldn’t interrupt it. And then every night I sleep with a cauldron full of dreams brewing up the photo shoots with Coffee Beans. Want to watch more? Keep following this place.

Now this is a recipe you all must try. My Love for both Chocolate and Coffeebeans got married here. And the outcome is nothing but seductively scrumptious. You don’t have to haunt for coffee beans or become desperate to use it in the recipe. You can very well replace it by using few spoons of coffee liquor. Or if you really want to use coffee beans, just go to any coffee joints and beg for few the way I used to do. 😉

Ingredients
Servings: Cup Cakes
Instructions
  1. Add the All Purpose Flour, Baking Powder and Cocoa Powder in a bowl. Sieve for 3 to 4 times then reserve.
  2. Mix the sugar and oil nicely in another bowl. Then add one egg at a time. Beat well. Don't over beat. I just used a spatula to fold the ingredients.
  3. Then add the dry ingredients slowly. Fold gently. Add the Milk in small portion as per requirement. The batter should not be runny. It should pour in a thick consistency.
  4. Pre-heat the oven at 200 degree C for 5 to 6 mintues.
  5. Line cupcake liners in a muffin tray or in cupcake moulds. Pour the batter filling half of the cavities.
  6. Bake at 180 degree C for 25 to 35 minutes. Take out from the oven when the cupcakes are done. Don't forget to prick a toothpick in a cupcake to check if it comes out clean that means it is done.
  7. Cool them and then Enjoy.

  1. Bingo. Perfect post. Liked the props and the way you have planned the shoot. Remember what I told you? YOu must blog more often. The story is equally engaging. I have never been a coffee person till now that I think I am getting addicted to filter coffee . A brewing machine at home remains a dream till now. Great post

    1. Hi Anindya,

Thank you so much for reading the post and leaving a comment behind. Even I am also not a coffee person. But you can spoil me over cold coffee or over coffee favoured desserts. 😊😊
